Thank you all for your quick answers.

I was suddenly worried that I have to renew my H1B visa on a new
passport (which one would take more time: the visa or the new
passport?!?!). Luckily, it seems not. My old one will still be good
when I get my new H1B visa.
I should have read the swiss-list archive or other relevant websites.
But you were faster.
