Hi,

I am no immigration lawyer either, but a friend of mine had recently
the following experience, so I don't think getting married in
Switzerland will simplify your immigration:

She is an American citizen, married to a Swiss (for several years
prior to their move). Both lived in Switzerland and moved to southern
CA this fall.
- Getting the green card for her husband took her 8 months, and she
described the treatment in the American Embassy in Bern as "rude"
- getting the paperwork actually done did cost her a separate flight
to the US prior to their move
- She didn't have an employment in the US (as she was still living in
Switzerland), so her parents had to provide a proof of sufficient
funding for her husband. Thus even if you are married, the INS is
picky if you have a sufficient income. But maybe the family of your
soon-to-be-husband can give a guarantee for you?

Best regards and good luck

Dona
