Hi Christian,

thank you very much for your detailed message. You are
completely right, it may not at all be a good idea for
me to contribute to the voluntary AHV/AVS. Very
likely, I'd be much better off investing 10% of my
income.

But first I need to know how much time I have left to
make that decision. The AVS office in Montreal
referred me back to my local compensation office in
Switzerland, and hopefully, when I call them, I'll
know whether it is two weeks or ten months...
