RE: swiss-list: best international phone service?

I did some research, and found a company called ECG
(http://www.ecg1.com/home/) that gives 24 x 7 home long distance service
anywhere in the US for 4.5 cents/minute, with no monthly charges; I was told that the
service is excellent, and they bill you through your VISA card. You can also got
a calling card from a company called GFI Communications(
http://www.phone-bill-busters.com/gfi.htm) that allows you to call from
locations other than home at 6.9 cents/minute, with no monthly fee, and
which also bills you through your VISA card. You can use the calling card when you
are on travel, or when you do personal long distance calling from work.

Both GFI and ECG offer good international rates too, but you can go onto the web (http://www.phone-bill-busters.com/) and find comparisons of such companies;
you may find one you like better for international calls.
