THE HERRING TAKE: Two-year-old uB-Mobile has wasted no
time in joining the parade of those producing content for
wireless devices. Its specialty is interactive travel
services and lifestyle content, in English, French, German,
Italian, and Spanish. Having already formed distribution,
technical development, and marketing agreements with Nokia,
Telefonica, and BT Wireless, uB-Mobile will use the new
funds to expand internationally and develop its next-
generation information technology. Daniel Sasaki, managing
director of Softbank Europe Ventures, says uB-Mobile's
innovative business model offers a strong revenue-sharing
proposition to both content and distribution partners. --
