Switzerland's Albert Secures $10 Million in First Round
13 December 00 - Switzerland-based Albert, an information retrieval systems
company, has closed $10 million in a first round of funding. This financing
round forms part of a mezzanine round led by TAG Group, an affiliate of
Albert, with the second stage looking for a further $5-10 million. The
proceeds will go toward research and development. The company develops
software using a natural-language interface in a bid to ease communication
between users and information systems. Albert is headquartered in
Switzerland and has offices in the U.S.
