You won't have to pay any taxes at all. That is: no federal, state,
social security etc.: 0%

You will probably need a J1. Your wife will get a J2. Actually, if she
wanted to work, she'd be allowed to under a J2, but only a certain
number of hours/week. Am (I'm not sure), possibly only on campus.

> Switzerland to US ? How much it cost ?

We did not have a big household at that time, and used SwissCargo to
ship ca. 26 banana boxes to NYC. Cost was around SFr 1000.- But we had
to release them ourselves and get them through customs, which took us a
half day.
There are commercial companies (look them up in SwissRevue), but they
use containers and charge a lot more. On the other hand, you have
doo-to-door service.
