swiss-list: Pension funds in Switzerland

Any experts on pension funds ? I have the following questions:

1) How are they invested (banks, bonds etc) ? What is the typical
interest on them ?

2) Is it possible to get the money ? If I'm correct this is allowed for
(e.g.) buying a house or if someone is leaving the country.

Any URLs (I tried admin.ch / embassy.org), but couldn't find anything
(maybe it's buried somewhere else).
