Dear Members of Swiss-list,

I will soon be moving to Berkeley (March 30, 1999). I was told I should
stay in a hotel for the first 1-2 weeks while looking for an appartment.
I will be travelling with my wife ans son (16 months). Can anyone
suggest a hotel (not too expensive, not too low standard, preferrably
with a small "kitchenette" to cook for our son, not far from Campus) ? I
will probably also need a car, so if anyone is selling his...
Any suggestions for how to find a daycare place ?

Any other advice is gratefully appreciated
