Hello everybody,

The Aelpler Gruppe, Inc., a Swiss club based in the San Francisco
region is organizing two social events soon to come: a Halloween
party Saturday October 24 and a Metzgete dinner November 14.
I have been asked if member of the Swiss-List were interested in
attending these events.

The Halloween Party is an event for kids and adults. A magician will
entertain everybody. The Aelpler Gruppe provides hot dogs, punch and
coffee, people attending the event are asked to bring a salad or
dessert.
Date and time: Saturday October 24, 1998, 2:00-5:00 PM
Place: Newark Swiss Park (indoors)
               5911 Mowry Ave
               Newark, CA 94560-5005
Reservation: Please let Mariette Franke know by October 18, if you
               will attend, telling how many adults and kids will be
               with you, and whether you will bring a salad or dessert.

The Metzgete dinner is an evening event with Sauerkraut dinner followed
by dancing. Dinner choices include any two of the following: Bratwurst,
Bloodwurst, Leberwurst or Rippli. All dinners include Sauerkraut, red
potatoes, applesauce, coffee & dessert.
Dancing to the Al Grubber Band.

General admission, dinner and dance $16.00
              children 14 and under $ 5.00
Date and time: Saturday November 14, 1998,
               Doors open at 6:00 PM, Dinner served 6:30-8:00 PM,
               Dance start at 8:00 PM.
Place: Newark Swiss Park

Reservation: Deadline is November 1, 1998
               If a group of Swiss-List members want to attend, we
               can arrange for a "group" reservation. If you want
