In short, you decided that a new list is the way to go, its now active under
the name of

Its a discussion list with some slight moderation, mostly to stop spam, but no
archive. All emails regarding the US/Swiss discussions that are still in the
queue will be sent out to this list in 24h. If you don't want to see them wait
with your subscription request for 48h.

There are also two digested email lists now, namely

This is still an experimental features, so there may be some problems.
Digests will go out once a day.

You can subscribe to the new lists either via majordomo or using

P.S.: What is a digest?

      If you subscribe to a digest version of a mailing list you will get
      at most one email per day that includes all the emails sent out
      during the last 24h. This has the advantage to not clutter your
      email box as much if there are a lot of submissions per day.
  
      However, there is one main disadvantage in that many mailing programs
      don't know how to handle a digest correctly and if you try to
      send an answer to an email you cannot just press 'Reply', as you need
      to also fix the 'Subject' and the 'Cc' or 'To' line, at least if you want
      to send a copy to the sender of the email you are replying to.
