sfbay: Excellent carpenter / craftsman

Does anybody knows of an excellent carpenter / craftsman (Swiss style) who
is very reliable and trustful in the Milpitas, CA area?
Friends of us are starting to remodel their house (kitchen, baths, floors)
and so far did not find the right guy. Most of them do not take care, are not
proud in their workmanship and are late.

Any good advise is appreciated, including maybe references
