Chris is right, the best place to look for a room is
www.craigslist.org, but it is much better to do that
once you are here.

Here are some really good options for temporary
accommodation (can be paid weekly or monthly, and food
is included in the price):

www.affordablehotels.net
check out Kenmore and Monroe

Many international students stay there at the
beginning while looking for more permanent housing.
Some even decide to stay for several months.
