Dear Gary,
Wenger is a daughter company of Victorinox. Victorinox is the only supplier to the Swiss Army and has the licence by the Swiss Government.

The Swiss Army by contract purchase half of their knives from Wenger in the french section of Switzerland, and half from Victorinox in the German section. They are the only manufacturers that are licensed by the Swiss Army to make a specific knive for all soldiers.
